AWE

China Home Appliance and Consumer Electronics Expo

2021.03.22-25

The China Home Appliances and Consumer Electronics Expo (AWE) has come to a close today at Shanghai Hongqiao National Convention and Exhibition Center (NECC). Let’s take a look back at some of the highlights of the exhibition.
Galanz and Yuefang Technology brought new products such as self-developed chips BF2-XieKau and NB2-Shishan to the exposition, which was the first time AWE welcomed open source chips in the history. Therefore, it has been reported by mainstream media all over the country and attracted the attention of many exhibitors.

According to public data, the domestic chip market of home appliance industry is about 50 billion yuan, and the localization matching rate is only 5%. With the increasing demand for the Internet of Things, smart home and low-carbon life, the demand for domestic chips needs to be addressed urgently. Galanz, on the other hand, has gained the initiative in chip design through the open source chip technology based on RISC-V architecture, and opened a new “battlefield” of self-developed chips with the “open source ecology”. In 2019, Galanz officially announced the technology transformation strategy, continue to innovate and develop in home appliance technology, at the same time, focus on the manufacturing industry “bottleneck” problem, to open source chip industry.

LeapFive Technology Co., Ltd. is a chip enterprise invested by Galanz. It is committed to researching and developing AIOT SoC chips based on RISC-V open source architecture, and providing mature, stable and cost-effective system-level solutions for customers. Combined with the cloud platform of the Internet of Things independently developed by the company, it provides full-stack solutions from chip to platform for home and industrial application fields such as smart home, smart city, smart energy, smart environmental protection and smart manufacturing. Together with Saifang Technology, the leading RISC-V processor IP supplier in the industry, Yuefang Technology took the lead in introducing the open source instruction set architecture RISC-V into the field of Internet of Things home appliances, helping Galanz Group to launch the first smart home Internet of Things module based on RISC-V core.

In 2020, “Xiejiao”, Galanz’s first independent open source chip, has been applied to home appliances. In 2021, the more high-end intelligent “Sishan” will be widely applied to more smart home products, and meet the needs of different application scenarios such as smart home, smart industry, smart city and smart energy.

This year’s China Home Appliance and Consumer Electronics Fair (AWE) has come to a successful end. For Yuefang Technology, the past decade of AWE is also the decade of butterfly change of Chinese home appliances. We expect more “China core” to join in the future smart home appliances.

Finally, I would like to thank everyone who cares about LeapFive.

See you next year at the Home Appliance Expo!
