? ? ? ? Today, Shunde is building a world-class open source chip base, which will form tens of billions of chip industry clusters and create an open source chip industry ecosystem, so that more companies can use our self-developed domestic chips.
At present, more than 370 companies have joined the RISC-V alliance, 200 of which are Chinese companies, which include many large companies. This is a good thing, which shows that open source technology chips are not just for us. It is not closed; this is a global core processor technology. ? ? ? ?“Our R&D team is located in five locations: Shunde, Shenzhen, Xi’an, India, and Germany. Shunde is our headquarters. When the company was first established, we were looking for a place where we could provide application scenarios, that is, where the chips could be used immediately after they were produced. After our investigation, we found that many companies in Shunde are engaged in the R&D and production of household appliances and industrial products, and they need a large number of chips every year; therefore, we think this is a very good place to land. Secondly, Shunde is located in the Greater Bay Area, with convenient transportation to major cities in the Pearl River Delta and the happiness index is high. Also, Shunde has certain challenges either – the talent base is weak, and it is difficult to recruit talents for chip research and development. But now we are beginning to know how to solve this problem: since our main customer is in Shunde, the source of chip demand, the chip application design, and how to connect our chip to the user’s system, these must have local engineers, so we have also trained a number of engineers to specialize in this task, and now they can be stand alone.。
